Notes
- A family genealogy gives us Eddie's middle initial and exact day in May 1908 when Eddie was born:
Eddie Z. NORRIS b: 21 MAY 1908 in Parker Co., Texas
-- Norris Family, http://awtc.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=*v06t4483&id=I039
The same genealogy tells us that Eddie lived only 8 days.
"Eddie Z. NORRIS was born 21 MAY 1908 in Parker Co., Texas, and died 29 MAY 1908 in Parker Co., Texas"
-- Ancestry World Tree, Norris Family, http://awtc.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=*v06t4483
Evlyn Broumley explained that there were twins, named Eddie Z and Zeddie E. But if Eddie died in 1908, what about the Eddie reported in the 1910 census as 1 year and 10 months old? This child in 1910 is actually Zeddie, the surviving twin, who is correctly recorded in the 1920 census as Zeddie E. So the enumerator made an error in the name.

Norris, Eddie [should be Zeddie] Son M W 1yr 10mos TX IL TX
In 1920 and 1930 censuses, the matching child is reported as Zeddie (Zeddie E in 1930). It seems obvious then that the enumerator in 1910 just misunderstood this unusual name, and wrote it as Eddie.

In 1940, when he registered for the WWII draft, Zeddie was living in Aledo, but registered in the county seat of Parker County, Weatherford. He listed his wife Vera Blanche Norris as his next of kin. Since he was reported with his mother in the 1940 census on 1 May, and reported Blanche as his wife on 21 May, they would have married some time between 1 May and 21 May 1940.
