The Hamrick genealogy cited above tells us Narcissus was called Eliza Jane, giving her name as Narcissus "Eliza Jane" Hamrick. This matches the 1880 entry for E J McSwain. The 1900 census reports her, though, as Louisa J McSwain. Her mother is living in the household in the last two censuses, designated as mother-in-law, so we are sure EJ and Louisa are the same person. Some genealogies say her nickname was Liza Jane. This may explain where the Louisa came from. The enumerator might have heard Liza Jane as Louisa Jane.

The mother-in-law's full name is given here, Emeline. This is sufficient a clue to enable us to confirm that Louisa/Narcissus/EJ is the daughter of Elijah Hamrick and Emeline Webb.
