• Some genealogies report that Ann Hartwell was the second wife of Jeremiah Gregory, after the death of his first wife, and mother of most of his childen, Lettice Young.  No documentation is provided for Lettice by any genealogy I have found.  No independent public records have been found.  Genealogies report they married in 1778, but I have seen no record for documentation.
  
  I have found the wil lof Lettice Young's mother, Catherine Brandon Young.  The informatoin matches Lettice Young who is said to have married Jeremiah Gregory.  Additoinally, Lettice's sister Mary Ann Young is documented as the wife of Jeremiah's brother Robert Gregory.
  
  Some genealogies reference a Lettice Young, for whom some record report her husband as a Shelton.  Some genealoiges have only Shelton as her husband, with no reference to Jeremiah or other Gregorys.  Genealogies reporting Ann as the second wife report one child from that union, John Gregory.  They report Lettice's son named John as John Wesley Gregory.  Gregory genealogies presenting this line are consistent is documented information from Jeremiah and Lettice down to the current generation.
  
  Ann H Gregory was the administratrix of Jeremiah's will.
