Notes

• In the 1870 census an entry for a Harrison Gregory matchces WIlliam Harrison, son of Benjamin and Elizabeth Gregory of Union County, South Carolina.  The location is Okolona, Mississippi, where many other Gregorys of this clan moved.  The wife's name reported here is Margaret, whereas in 1850 the wife was Emily.  Harrison is located in Division 3 of the county and some of his brothers and cousins are reported in Division 1.

  William Harrison Gregory married Margaret Wilson Bedel (19 November 1829-3 July 1872), widow of BG Bedell, 18 November 1856 at the home of Austin Wilson in Union Co.  Margaret was the daughter of Clinton Wilson.  Margaret is buried with her 1st husband William Bedel at Friendship Church Cem in Van Vleet, Chickasaw Co MS.  No children are known from any marriage.  They raised the daughter of Wm's brother Andrew Jackson Gregory, Sarah E Gregory (17 June 1862-28 August 1868).  Sarah is buried with William & Margaret.
