I am researching my Gregory line..wow, is it confusing! My brick wall is LUCINDA GREGORY b abt 1810 (in Va or Tenn) d Dec 26 1850 in Holly Springs, Miss. She married Wyle H Adams in 1829 in Jefferson County Tenn. I believe she is the daughter of GEORGE GREGORY b abt 1779 d 1847 in Jefferson County Tenn. ...
[Citing a cousin:] Priscilla Gregory (1817-1868). I have as a sister to my direct Lucinda Gregory (1810-1850). This comes from information in probate courts Re: their brother George, Jr. (1804-1840)'s estate filed in 1841 in Jefferson Co, TN. Priscilla (and husband James Webb, Jr.) are named heirs and shown as siblings. Lucinda (and husband "Wiley" Adams) are likewise named as heirs and siblings. This [what?] was testimony of their father George Gregory (Sr.).

Some genealogies report that he died in 1860 in Marshall County, Mississippi, but no burial record has been found there. His wife Lucinda Gregory is buried in the Hill Crest Cemetery in Holly Springs, Marshall County.
