    Burneyville, OK - .Services for Esther Lucille (Harris) Barrick of Wilson, Okla., will be at 2 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2010, in the Burneyville Baptist Church, Burneyville, Okla., with Rev. Stan Idell and Bro. Jimmy May officiating. Interment will be in the Burneyville Cemetery under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Marietta, Okla.

    Mrs. Barrick was born July 4, 1923, at Enville, Okla., the daughter of James Columbus and Maggie Lee Watkins Harris. She passed away Thursday, January 14, in Mercy Memorial Health Center, Ardmore, Okla., at the age of 86.

    Mrs. Barrick had been a resident of Love County most of her life, residing primarily in the Burneyville area. She and John Ray Barrick were married November 8, 1946, in Gainesville, Texas, and he preceded her in death on September 9, 1968. Mrs. Barrick was a homemaker and caretaker most of her life as well as selling Studio Girl Cosmetics and making her own jewelry. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, quilting, reading the Bible, listening to gospel music and writing poetry and short stories; however, her greatest pleasure was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Barrick was a member of the Leon Baptist Church.

    In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tony Bogardus Barrick; grandson, Austin Cole Barrick; and three sisters, Reba Teague, Pauline Warthen and Joyce Sharp.

    Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Shirley Barrick of Ardmore, Vernon and Nancy Barrick of Burneyville, Larry and Pam Barrick of Lone Grove, Okla., and Rocky Barrick of Alvarado, Texas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Larry Huffaker of Jimtown, Mary and Merl Bone of Wilson, and Monica and Richard Benzer, also of Alvarado; brother, J.C. Harris of Enville; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

    Serving as bearers will be Chris Barrick, Brian Barrick, Jason Huffaker, Cory Bone, Branson Barrick and Dustin Barrick. Honorary bearers are Colby Barrick, John Barrick, Lori Tooley, Nick Huffaker, Ryan Huffaker, Kevin Bone, Natalie Bone, George Jeong, Caitlin Faustner, Hanna Barrick, Baylie Barrick and Brooklyn Barrick.

    The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. today at Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home
