• "My grandmother always had said that there was Cherokee Indian in her line.  We have never been able to prove that.  However as I research the Franklin line I hear many references to that same mystery.  Easom and Luvina Forrester are parents of Esom Franklin (1817) who married Susan Collier.  Their daughter Mariah Franklin (1850) married John Baptiste Dorway who is my Great Grandfather.  My grandmother Violet Dorway was the one who always told us that she was part Cherokee."
