Notes

  • In 1850 Melvina and her husband James P Mullins are living next door to Melvina's brother Sherrod Caldwell, age 32, and his wife Rachel and family.  On the other side of Sherrod and Rachel is Melvina's widowed mother Elizabeth Caldwell, age 52, and several children still in the home.

According to Mike Taylor, who has done extensive research and reconstruction of the Mullins lineage, Melvina is a sister of Elizabeth Y Caldwell, who married Green D Mullins.
