"Edith Perkins said" Robert was shot and died from a stray buckshot. He was 19 years old.

"James Bailey & Francis had another son, Robert, who was killed in 1882 when he was 19. There is no grave memorial for him and no details about his burial, only that they were living in Bowie County at the time. There is a story 'Edith Perkins Said' that gives the account of his death. Edith was Winfred Scott & Harriet Angeline Forsyth Perkins' daughter as was my grandmother."
