  This tells us that the McKeen girls' father was born in Oklahoma.  Assuming the enumerator got the facts right, then Mr McKeen was born in Oklahoma, while Delora was born in Texas.  They may have met in California after both families moved there, where they married and the girls were both born. However, further investigation provided a correction to this intiial impression.

  Alonzo Thomas McKeen was born in New Mexico, not California.  The enumerator may have inadvertently reported Oklaoma as the birth state of the girls' father, based on Thomas Green's birth place, even though he was reported as the girls' stepdaughters.  Or maybe Delora did not know or report directly that Thomas McKeen was born in New Mexico.
