Some genealogies also report him as O F or Franci O. He was reported simply as Frank in the 1920 census and then as Frnak O in 1930. Frank, of course, would stand for Francis, normally. He reported his name on his WWII registration as Oscoe Frank. So it may be that Frank was his given middle name, not jsut a nickname for Francis.
His obituary reports his name as Oscoe "Frank," indicating that Frank was a nickname, buit does not include the given name Francis.

Obituary of O F Schuster
Oscoe "Frank" Schuster, born March 20, 1918, in Stigler, Okla., departed from this world March 10, 2009. He will be buried on Friday, March 20, the 91st anniversary of his birth, at Victor Valley Memorial Park, following a memorial service at the Victor Valley Mortuary Chapel on 11th Street in Victorville. There will be a viewing from 1 to 2 p.m., at which time his service begins.
He was a 50-year resident of Hesperia after serving seven years in the Navy aboard the USS Brooklyn. He leaves behind many friends. He was always known for his kindness and being the kind of friend that everyone values. He had a great fondness for cars, fishing and bowling.
He was preceded in death by both parents, John H. Schuster and Pearl Mae Bond Rogers, as well as both of his brothers, Prentice Johnson and Wallace Schuster, and both sisters, Iva Kerns and Juanita Earls.
He leaves behind nephews Curtis and Terry Kerns, Gary and Tim Earls and Richard and Robert Schuster. His nieces are Janeth McNown, Linda Waller and Susie Rouse.
