Notes
- An anonymous genealogy reports the same dates I have for Hoyt (my initial sources were Green Hill Cemetery register and Social Security Death Index), but reports his birth location as in Marlow (Stephens County), Oklahoma, rather than Lindsay, which I got from a cousin of Hoyt, but seems somewhat uncertain.
The Marlow location matches more closely the residential pattern at the time of birth. Hoyt's grandfather, Dock Gregory, was registered in the 1910 census in Richland Township, near Marlow, Stephens County, Oklahoma. Hoyt's family were living in the next county west, in the Lincoln Township of Comanche County.

We know both families later moved to Garvin County, with Dock's family in Elmore Township by 1920, and George and Fannie, Hoyt's parents later living in Lindsay. Hoyt also lived in Lindsay as an adult.

Hoyt Gregory (born 2-7-1908) was the son of Tom and Fannie Gregory. Esther (born 5-16-1909) was the daughter of Sam and Evie Harris. The Harris family lived in Pikes Peak in 1919. Hoyt married Esther Laura and they lived in See Chapel, just east of his parents.
They moved from there to the Pikes Peak community in 1941. They bought Les Sinclair's farm which was located 1 3/4 miles north of the school, west side of the road on Crazy Creek.
The ages of the children at that time were: Wayne Laray "Jack" 12, Obreta Vaun 9 and Roena Marie almost 3 years old. Roena was named for their teacher, Roena (Jones) House from See Chapel.
