Notes

• According to cemetery names and dates, William and Polly Strange (Strang) had a son named Sylvanus, named after William's brother Sylvanus.  In the Baptist Church Cemetery in Stillwater, Saratoga County, New York, there is a grave for Sylvanus A Strange, with only a death date of 20 Nov 1847, and the notation that he was 43 years old.
  
  Sylvanus' grave lies in a row with two children's graves, Silvanus H Strang and Mary Strang, all with the same style gravestones.  His wife's grave is not in this cemetery.  The stone for Silvanus H Strang has a birth date of Feb 28, 1842 and a death date of Feb 17, 1845.  The child Mary lived about 13 years, born 8 June 1840, died 7 Feb 1853.
  
  Alice, who took some photos of these stones, says onsite it looks like 1847 for the date of death of Sylvanus A Strang.  After we consulted on 7-8 April 2014, Alice updated her memorials as well as uploading some additional photos.  Silvanus' sister Mary is buried next to him.  She lived to be age 13.
  
  I have edited the information on the memorial posted by Jerry Ames to match the apparent reading and family relationships Alice has proposed, which seem to agree with the overall data and the information on the grave photos Alice posted on 8 April 2014.  Alice has also posted a new memorial for Silvanus, in which she spells his name as his father's, Sylvanus H Strang.  I have kept the spelilng on the gravestone in the edited memorial below.  On Alice's memorial below, she has posted pohtos of the grave, including Silvanus' sister Mary next to his.
