Some lists and references spell the name of this person as Syntha.  There is a grave in the Thurmond-Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, Texas, for a Syntha A Green.  The photo is so dark the details of dates are unreadable.  Fairview is in Wise County, about 2 counties south and west of Cooke County, where Syntha/Cynthia was enumerated in her father's household.

However, in the list of names from this cemetery, I find no entry for any Syntha, and the only Green is a Henry, stated to be the son of A G and M L Green http://www.wisecountytexas.info/cemeteries/thurmond-fairinfo_.htm.  This Green is of no known relation to Toliver Green's family.  This Synthia is a different person.  The gravestone and listing seems to indicate this Syntha, whose maiden name was apparently Green, married G C Reeves, who is not buried here.

    --  http://www.wisecountytexas.info/cemeteries/thurmond-fairinfo_.htm

Note that the Synthia's birth date was in 1848.  Our Synthia Green was born in 1857, as recorded in the 1860 census for her family in Gainesville, Texas, below.  She would have been only about 9 years old when this Synthia married G C Reeves.

Further, an online collection of all the grave headstones from Wise County cemeteries lacks such a gravestone (http://www.wisecountytexas.info/cemeteries/g.htm).  But I did find the name Synthia listed in the plot designations for Thurmond-Fairview Cemetery.  There are, in fact, two women named Syntha in that list.  The Syntha A is surnamed Reeves, but the base of the headstone is inscribed with the name Green.  I cannot find a Reeves in the lists that may be her husband, and in the plot list the next plot is for Henry Green.  It seems most likely that this was Syntha Reeves, who married Henry Green, who is not part of our Green family.

Green researcher Cindy Pannell has discovered the  middle name Almeda for Cynthia.  She notes this in a comment on on Ancestry.com on Cynthia's entry in the 1860 census.  We have found no record to support this.  Cindy did not state the source for this middle name.

"Cynthia Almeda Green rather than Cyritha Green."

It appears that Cynthia married George Thomas White about 1877, probably in Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory.  The date and place of marriage are based on birth of first child and other location evidence for Green family members.  All records and family info we have is from southern Oklahoma or northern Texas near the Red River.

In 1900, George has a second wife named Lizzie.  Genealogies report Lizzie as Elizabeth Mason.

1900 Federal Census, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory, 12 June, Township 3, District 124, page 7A, Hse #108, Fam #110
White, George T Head W M Dec 1847  52 Married 14 (?) years KY KY KY Farmer Rents

White, Jonnie Son W M June 1884  15 Single Ind Territory KY IL At School

Since the new wife Lizzie is reported to have had 1 child and 1 is still living, at first it seems likely that the youngest child here, Milton, is Lizzie's son.  His being listed first even though the youngest also supports this possibility.

Since the census reports Milton born in Oct 1887, this would seem to mean that Cynthia died probably in 1886, after which George married Lizzie and Milton was born in late 1887.  However, note that Lizzie's record reports that she has been married only 3 years.  All the children reported in this census would be Cyntha's children.

Should this report have said married 13 years?  Notice that it says George was married 14 years, and there is a 2 above that, indicating the second marriage?  But the number of years should be the same.  These people certainly were not obsessed with the precision drilled into us by our modernistic schools focusing on detail and precision analysis.

On balance from this uncertain information in the census, it appears that Cynthia died after October 1887, when their son Milton was born  Her death could still have occurred as early as 13 years before the 1900 census, when her husband George and her children are all still in Chickasaw Nation, as are other Green family members and relatives.  Going by the record here for Lizzie, we will say that George and Lizzie married about 1897.

It is reported that her daughter Elzie's death certificate says that Cynthia was born in Texas, but the first census for this family in 1860 reported 3-year-old Cynthia as born in Georgia, which I believe to be correct.  Family tradition and census records indicate all the children had been born before Toliver moved his family west.
