Notes
- Leland Lafayette's second name was pronounced La-Fate. He went by Fait, and this is the name by which I have heard our Green family refer to him. There were other people named Fait Green in Oklahoma, unrelated to this family of Greens. Fait's gravestone has his name simply as Fait Green.

Green, Francis H Wife F W 41 Married at age 18 TX TX AL
Green, Lafayette Son M W 18 Single OK OK TX Grocery Clerk
Note that Fayette (Fait) is reported born in Oklahoma. In 1940 Fait is reported born in Texas, which appears to be an error, nbased on family knowledge and the 1930 census. I have not found the family in 1920. But I note his parents were reported in the 1910 census as living in Marlow, Oklahoma, where they lived out their lives.
When Fait was in school they lived a few miles from the town of Marlow. Faith's second cousin Loretta Gregory Gay reports that Fait told her that when he was in school, he used to ride a horse from the St York Indian Baptist Church east of town to school in Marlow. Loretta says she and her family used to go with Dave and Fannie to gospel singings at that church.
