In 1910, Andrew and Rosa were farming in Burleson County, Texas.  Inthis census, we discover that Andrew was married before.  Nelia(Cornelia) here appears to be the first child of this marriage.During the twelve years of their marriage, Rosa has lost two childrento death.

A Texas Death Index entry appearing to be for this Andrew Adleyreports he died in 1947 and provides his full name.

    Texas Death Index, 1903-2000
    Certificate #88349
    Andrew Jackson Adley
Death 2 Dec 1947 Milam County

This identity was confirmed when I found one genealogy that had thisdeath information and had posted a copy of Andrew's death certificate.

    Texas Death Certificate
    Andrew Jackson Adley
Residence Rt 1, Buckholts, Sharp Precinct (No 5)
Residence here 6 months before death
    Birth Sept 7 (?), 1857 Texas
Name and birth place of parents unknown
    Death Dec 2, 1947
    Cause of Death Cerebral Hemorrhage
    Informant Lee Adley
Burial 3 Dec 1947 Sharp Cemetery, Sharp, Milam, Texas
    Filed Buckholts, Texas (no date)

One problem I find here is that the birth date reported by his son Leeis in 1857.  Andrew's age in the censuses of 1910 and 1920 would placehis birth about 1863-65, 6-8 years later than when Lee reports hisfather was born.  There seems no doubt we are talking about the sameAndrew Adley, but this is a large discrepancy.  I can only figure thatLee had the wrong date in mind.  Note that Lee did not have anyinformation about Andrew's parents either.

The birth day is unclear and might be a 2.  The year is clear, 1857.
