• I was unable to discover Lillian's maiden name until the release of another records database by Ancesxtry.com in late 2015.  The closest we had come was to surmise that she might have been Lillian Ahrens, reported as age 8 in the 1940 census, thus born about 1931.  This Lillian matched the birth date on Lillian V McSwain's gravestone.

  But the discovery of her Social Security Applpication and Claims records indicated her father's name was H W Carle.  Nothing further has been discovered abotu Lillian Ahrens of Stuttgart.  This record also finally tells us what Lillian's middle name was.  Her original name on her Social Security records was Lillian Victoria Carole.
