    The brother following Christopher matches the child listed in the family's 1870 enumeration as Pearson J.  The name here also seems to start as Jef, but is scrawled as well as faded.  The overall configuration appears to be Jefdavies (For Jefferson Davis?).  But this would seem odd for this family who supported the Union in the Civil War.
