In 1870, Elmina is already a widow with two small children. She and her sons are living in the household of her widowed father, Benjamin West. The enumerator lists her children as Ben's children, even giving them the last name of West! We know their name was Bradley. The youngest is correctly named in the 1880 census, where he is listed as John K Bradley. In this census, the head of the household is Elmina, and her father is in her household.
