"John Crawford, a Scotchman, emigrated to Virginia. He lost his life in the Indian Campaign of Bacon's Rebellion. He was the youngest son of Earl Crawford. He had only one son, David. He received a land grant from Governor Berkley."

Some genealogies report John's date of death as 1670, rather than 1676. Similarly several genealogies report the year of birth as 1606. I have not found public records that will clarify the birth or death dates for John.
