• It appears that George McSwain's wife Mary Weathers is the older sister of Catherine. George was 21 years older than Catherine, and he was 43 years old when they married.  Most genealogies report that George had two wives, Mary Weathers and Catherine Weathers.
  
  Some report one wife, some with the name of Mary and some with the name of Catherine.  Catherine's mother was named Mary, and Catherine also had a sister named Mary.  At least one source reports Catherine as Mary Catherine.  Mary Weathers McSwian was born in 1796 and died in 1842.
  
  There were apparently no children from the marriage of George and Mary.
