John and Laura Maddox lived in Arkansas County, Arkansas in 1900 and 1910 Census where their numerous Children were born, including your Ernest Maddox. Laura Little was sister to William Franklin Little, my grandfather. The 1880 Federal Census in Franklin County, Illinois, will show her living with her mother Francis and step-father last name Reed at age 13.
Laura's father was Jesse Floyd Little from Franklin County, Illinois. He was a member of the 15th and 10th Illinois Cavalry during the civil war.
