- The Le Strange Web Site styles this John as John le Strange [IV] of Knockin.
The Tudorplace genealogy of the Le Stranges of Knockin begins the Barony with this John, making him 1st Baron Lord Strange of Knockin (Knockyn). All other sources I have found, including the heritage listing in the Le Strange Website, indicate that the Barony began with this John's son, John V of Knockin.
This Tudorplace source has much detail about some persons and the establishment of various Baronies. Yet this is the only source that indicates the Knockin Barony beginning in this generation.
I am showing the Barony of Strange of Knockin beginning as all other sources show it, with John V (born abt 1253).
