    Hazel Browning, 81, passed away Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009.

    Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Shady Oaks Baptist Church. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.

    Hazel was born June 20, 1927, in Aledo to Eula and Elbert Martin. She lived in the Fort Worth area for 60 years and worked in the cafeteria at L.D. Bell High School for 12 years. Hazel was an active member of Shady Oaks Baptist Church and worked with the senior citizens. She was active in the nursing home ministry at Hurst Plaza.
    Hazel was preceded in death by her son, Mark Edward Browning.

    Survivors: Husband of 62 years, Edward N. Browning; sons, Dennis Browning and wife, Debbie, of North Richland Hills, G. Allen Browning and wife, Nan, of Burleson; sister, Ruth James and husband, Bo, of Bedford; grandchildren, Eric, Susan, Alisha, Chris, Kelly and Cooper; great-grandchild, Kylie; niece, Gloria; nephew, Steven; great-nephew, Kevin; and numerous other family and friends.
