  In the 1880 census, Susan and Ambrose are enumerated next door Ambrose's son William and his family and what appears to be Susan's brother on the other side.  In Jeremiah Shiflett's household is a 50-year-old widow named Lucinda Dollar who is reported as Jeremiah's and Susan's mother.  Lucinda Shiflett married Ambrose Dollar Sr, and they were enumerated togetehr in the 1870 census, when he was 8-0 years old and she was 49.  THe elder Ambrose, reported in 1879 as aged and infirm, passed away before the 1880 census.
