    Jack Bradford Strange, of Russellville, passed away May 15, 2006, atGlenwood Rehabilitation Center. Services were at 11 a.m. Friday, May19, 2006, at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, with JackieRichardson officiating.

    Pallbearers were son-in-law, Michael Underwood; grandsons, Adam,Robert and David Strange; nephews, Joe and Jim Strange.
    Mr. Strange was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and BlancheStrange; brother, Harry Glen; and sister, Oleta Ingram.
    Before World War II, Mr. Strange attended the University of Alabamaand was a member of the Crimson Tide football team. He served hiscountry in the South Pacific under the command of Gen. DouglasMcArthur and the 38th Infantry Division of the Army.
    Mr. Strange was a retired plumbing and heating contractor, a member ofthe University of Alabama "A" Club and was inducted into the FranklinCounty Sports Hall of Fame in 2000. He also enjoyed his Senior FriendsRook Club.

    Survivors include former wives, Evelyn Hellums Strange and JaneHolliday Allen; daughter, Janis Underwood (Michael); sons, Brad(Terry), Bruce (Andrea) and Caleb (Christina); brother, Jim Strange;and four grandsons, Adam, Robert, David and Steven.  Pinkard FuneralHome assisted the family.
