    Mrs. Euzelia McSwain Porter, 84, died Thursday, May 31, 2001, at herhome.

    A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Oliverand Maggie Black McSwain. She was a member of Mount Zion BaptistChurch, where she was a member of the Keenagers, Faith Sunday Schoolclass, a substitute Sunday school teacher and a former member of thechoir. She retired from Dora Yarn Mill after 31 years of service.

    In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sevenbrothers.

    She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Henry Lee Porter of thehome; two sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Sandra Porter ofCherryville and Jerry and Carol Porter of Lincolnton; three daughtersand sons-in-law, Carolyn and Jacob Rhyne of Dallas, Frances and RalphKiser and Terri and Rick Childers, all of Cherryville; one brother,Alvin McSwain of Cherryville; best friend, Alene Fisher ofCherryville; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and onegreat-great-grandchild.

    The funeral will be at Mount Zion Baptist Church.  Burial will be inthe church cemetery.
