• In the 1930 census, Virgil is reported as Virgil C.  In the 1930 census it may be that this initial C stands for his mother's maiden name Cauble.  However, genealogies give his full name as Virgil Munroe. In the 1940 census no middle initial is included.

  Annie and Charlie divorced some time after the 1930 census.  No divorce record has been found.  It may be that the revelation of Virgil's true parentage was a factor in the divorce.
