  Note that the Arkansas County Marriage record says they were married on 7 Sept 1930.  This is also the marriage date on their joint gravestone.  The license was issued on Date 6 Sept 1930.  Vernon's memorial on Find a Grave reports that they were married on 12 Sept 1930, even though there is an accompanying photo of the gravestone that has the correct date.  A correctoin was submitted to the memorial in January 2016.
  
  Vernon's half brother Edward Pierce Hill was born in Choctaw Nation (later Oklahoma) and married Ouida Terry in Marlow, Oklahoma.
