Notes
- The name Nannie Lawton on one of her photos in her sister's collection made us think that Nannie Terry married someone named Lawton. In early 2013, when I found this photo among those my father had left me, I had no information about Nannie's husband, and could not find anything in searches. Her sister, Julia Virginia Terry Jenkins, had written her name on the back of the photo as Nannie Lawton.
Nannie's was listed as a survivor in her mother's 1932 obituary, under the name Nannie Fain, living in Lawton. This seemed to indicate that Lawton on the photo was a location, not Nannie's married name. A marriage record was found in Bell County Texas of Nannie Terry to Jim Fain. This was only an index record, which did not have a photo of the actual certificate or record.

This James L Fain seems to be the same person as reported in a 1920 census in Lawton. He was single and boarding in a rooming house there, working as an oil land agent. The age reported in this record indicates he was born about 1881.
