  The age of 4 months must have ignored the census date, since later records report that Bartley Jr was actually born in December 1929.  A Directory entry for him in California in 1993 reports this birth date.  The day of birth is not reported in this source.  Note also that this source reports his middle initial as M, not as W, which we would expect form the enumeration as "Bartley Jr" in the 1930 census above;.  He must not have been an actual "Junior."
