Lorene's parents moved back to the Dumond family Arkansas area where Walter had lived before moving to Nebraska. Dumonds settled in Arkansas County after their original ancestor migrated down the French North American river system from Quebec to the Ethel-St Charles area along the White River. This was aorund 1800 or so, when the territory was under Spanish control. Lorene's father and mother later moved to California.
