I have not found Emma and her childern in the 1910 census, the firstcensus after she was widowed, in 1909.

In 1920 Emma is a widow, with her childen as the second famliy in thehousehold of a family named Carloski.  She is reported as a boardinghouse keeper, which sounds like this is her house, though the Carloskiwidow is listed first (Hse #68, Family #88) with her children, followed by boarders.  Lillie Carloski is also reported is a boardinghouse keeper, so they must be partners.  I see, however, that Lillieis reported as owner of her residence, while Emma is reported asrenting. Perhaps Emma is an employee.

Several people on this page work for L & N Shops, as machinists orother jobs; I do not know what business this is.  Compare Emma's agehere with her reported age and birthdate in 1900:  Nov 1874, 25.  By1930, Emma is reported as the Owner and head of household of theBoarding House.  No children remain at home with her.  Note thatstates of birth of both her father and mother are different here.  Herage here matching a birt date in 1874-5.
