  • In the 1880 census, Lucinda's state of birth is reported as Virginiainstead of North Carolina.  This is consistent in the records fordaughter N J and son G W next door, so I tend to think this is thecorrect report instead of North Carolina, as in 1860 and the 1900record for Nancy, after her mother's death.  The 1850 census, which Ifound after the 1880 census, also reprots her as born in Virginia.
