Notes

  • Both the name Fisher and the name Asewaynah come form Geniece'sgrandfather, Rudolph Fischer, a German immigrant's child who wascaptured by Comanches as a child and raised as a Comanche.  He decidedto remain with the tribe and culture, and was given the name Asewaynahby the Comanches, according to a family tradition prominentlydiscussed on genealogy sites. and in genealogies.  Asewayna means GrayBlanket, according to these sources.
