Nancy Sanders
Birth 1807 SC
Spouse Name Richard Hill
Spouse Birth 1801 SC
no marriage date reported
After Richard Hill's death in 1848, Nancy continued heading the family and running their farm. In 1850, Nancy Hill is already a widow with 6 sons at home. There is a gravestone presented as hers and her husband Richard's, but it reprots the date of death as 23 December 1854. But the censuses below seems definitely to be the same Nancy Sanders Hill who was the wife of Richard Hill, and she is reported through the 1880 census, with the proper age, birth state and family members.

The name afer Alexander is very odd here. The age and position match Marcus Gustavus (Augustus in one census). How did the enumerator get Matthew E from that?
In 1860 all Nancy's children are still at home, working the family farm.
