There are errors in much of the York family information on somegenealogies.  The name of Margaret Crabtree appears to be an errorhere, due to the confusion of different York lineages.  Yorkresearchers I am in otuch with are working to sort this all out.

    ------------------
Josiah Cowan York Sr. is my 2nd great-grandfather through is youngestson, Abraham Huddleston York who went by the name 'Hud' or A.H. sincehe never wanted to be called Abraham as a good CSA calvaryman. Allfive York brothers fought with the Georgia 1st Calvary - and theoldest brother, Thomas, was mortally wounded in the battle of Big Hill(part of the Battle of Atlanta).

As far as the graves I have been trying to find someone near Yorkvilleto build a small barrier around the graves of Josiah and Sarah - Ihave added a military marker in memory of Josiah's father, CaptainWilliam York, Rev. War soldier. Josiah fought with the TennesseeMounted Gunmen under Jackson in the 2nd Seminole Indian War. I justwish I could find anything about William that can be verified!
