Note that on the death certificate they have reported Walter's mother Mary Rippy under her nickname, Pollie (Polly). Note the spelling of his father's name also.

Ancestry has transcribed their address backwards, making it appear they lived in Blacksburg South Carolina, with an RFD address in Cleveland County, North Carolina.  The death certificate actually says they lived in Cleveland County, but their mailing address was Rt 1, Blacksburg, South Carolina.  Blacksburg is just across the border into South Carolina, from Cleveland County, North Carolina.  McSwain and Mullinax famliles in this genealogy lived on both sides of the current border between the two Carolinas, from the time when it was still one colony of Carolina, before the border was settled.

I found Walter's gravestone information in a transcription of grave information by W D Floyd, who has performed the great service of transcribing so many cemeteries.  The gravestone has the date of burial instead of the date of death reported by the death certificate.
