Fannie did not die until after 1900. She is living in the Wesser Creek Community of Nantahala in Swain County along with her daughter Elizabeth Jane (Welch) Crisp and husband James M Crisp on 21 Jun 1900. James M Crisp died in 1909, and his wife would die in 1915. Fannie did NOT die on Forney Creek, she never lived there. Today, Forney Creek is only accessible by boat, as it falls within the boundaries of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park
