I had known of the name Boyd only in relation to the Scottish sept ofButt or Buid, related to the Stewarts.  I had assumed this was theprovenance of my Uncle Russell Boyd's ancestors.  But in June 2008, Ilearned of a prominent Boyd line in Ireland, where they were the LordsEarl of Kilmarnock.  This is probably still a branch of the ScottishStewart Boyds, but still new a lineage possibility for me.  Here is alink to information on one of those Boyd families in Ireland back tothe 1600s.

Rhonda and Russ never had any children. Three children of Rhonda'ssiblings were named after them.  The first son of Orville Lee Jenkinswas Orville Boyd (this author), and the only daughter of ArthurCarthal (Bud) Jenkins was LaRhonda.  Her sister Lahoma named her thirdson RIchard Boyd Hendron.

They lived in Amarillo, Texas, for years.  From my earliest childhoodtill Rhonda's death in 1963, this is where they were.  Our familyvisited them at times in Amarillo.  Amarillo, in Potter County, wasabout a 5-hour drive west of our home in Quanah, Hardeman County.  Wewould also see them in family gatherings at the home of Rhonda'sfather and mother, my grandparents, Joe and Jennie Jenkins, inChickasha, Oklahoma.
