He is not in his mother's household in 1860. We find 12-year-old George living in the household of William J Estep and his wife Julia, still in Mason County, Illinois. I have not tried to fully document all the Estep, Norris and Jackson relations, but I believe William is the brother of George's mother Arminda Estep. George's older half-brother Henry Norris, who was 15 in 1860, is living with another Norris household whom I have not clearly identified.

In 1880 George and Frances are still in Cherokee County, Kansas, but are now in the neighboring Mineral Township. Living with them is a William R Norris, age 21. This is no doubt George's half-brother, the William Norris listed in the household of Sylvester and Arminda in 1870, though the age does not match. In 1870, William was reported as 14, but here William R is 21!

Next door is another of George's half-brothers, 27-year-old James F Norris [son of Sylvester and Arminda] and wife Sarah and their two children. Two doors away on the other side we find the family of Martin and Mary Estep, and in their home 18-year old Abraham Norris.
In 1885, their adedress is again in Cherokee township.
