Notes
- Eleanor Plantagenet FitzAlan died in the Fitzalan estate castle, Arundel Castle in Arun district, County of West Sussex, England. The name Arundel means Arun Valley. The castle is named after the valley on the River Arun, where the Norman castle was built. The earlship of Arundel was named after the valley and castle of the FitzAlan family lands. This same FitzAlan family is also connected to the Le Strange line in Norfolk County, at the estate of Hunstanton.
One source lists her as Eleanor Princess Plantagenet. This seems incorrect, though I am not a specialist in the titles of the nobility. Her father Henry Earl of Lancaster was son of a King, not King himself. An Earl's wife is styled Countess. I am thinking a daughter is addressed as Lady and also may be styled as Countess, even if she is not the heir to the tile of Earl/Countess, if she has no title of her own.

Note that the marriage date in this source would make Eleanor only 10 years old. perhaps this is the date of betrothal, in the arranged marriage agreement between the two families.
