  J J Burnett, in his Sketches about the life of Rev Tidence Lane, comments that Tidence met and married Esther Bibbins in North Carolina. However, records indicate that they married before Tidence moved to North Carolina, and she was born in Frederick, Maryland, where she and Tidence were married. The genealogy above summarizes the basic facts.  There is a discrepancy among the sources on several of the facts.
  
  At least one genealogy (Gilson) reports her name as Hester VanBibber.  This genealogy also has VanBibber as the middle name of her son Tidence, though the compiler does not provide a source for this information.
