Notes

  • Earl and Anna lived on in Lindsay, Oklahoma, till sometime in the 1980s, when they moved to Mesa, Arizona, where she died.  I (Orville Boyd Jenkins) learned in May 2007 that Anna was actually a nickname, and her real name was Annie.  The form Annie is usually a nickname for Anna.

The full name was given to me by my aunt Loretta Gregory Gay.  Loretta told me that Anna's father always called her Annie, while everyone else called her Anna.  I knew her personally and had always known her as Anna.  My mother tells me that is what all the other family called her.
