    Minnie Jane Hayes died Saturday morning at Toppenish, Washington. Shewas 77

    Mrs. Hays was born in Sullivan County, Mo., moving to Hodgeman Countyin 1886.  From 1904 until 1945 she lived in Gray County. She moved toWashington in 1945 to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. RubyZable. Her husband, Jeff Hayes, died in 1925.

    She is survived by nine daughters, Mrs. Smith of Garden City, Mrs.Ruby Zable of Toppenish, Wash., Mrs. Hattie Scott of Aimino, Kansas,Mrs. Helen Grubb of Caldwell, Ida, Mrs. Emma Lockore of Big Pine,Calif., Mrs. Mary Douglas of Palisade, Colo., Mrs. Anna Friend, alsoof Caldwell, Ida., Mrs. Ina King of Washington, Ill., and Mrs. AllieWard of Little Rock, Ark., two sons: Joe Hayes of Ingalls and FrankHayes of Phoenix, Ariz.; 46 grandchildren; and a large number of greatgrandchildren.
