  R. D. Hooker, 83, of Stuttgart, passed away Oct. 8, 2011, at his home. He was born June 19, 1928, in DeWitt to the late Garnett and Mary McKewen Hooker. He was a truck driver for many years and in later years, he was a surveyor.
  
  R.D. is survived by his wife of 56 years, Louise Vaughn Hooker of Stuttgart; two sons, Ronnie Fraize (Hilda) of Vilonia and Terry Hooker of Stuttgart; two daughters, Vicki Stubblefield (Steve) of Casscoe and Susie Curton of Stuttgart; sister, Donna West of DeWitt; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two on the way.
  
  Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at Essex Funeral Home Chapel in DeWitt with burial at McKewen Cemetery. Memorials may be made to McKewen Cemetery, care of Ella Floyd, 521 E. First St., DeWitt AR 72042.
