FORT WORTH -- Nina Belle Terry, 98, a retired teacher, died peacefully Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at home. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Monday in Greenwood Memorial Park. Miss Terry will lie in state until 6 p.m. Sunday, at Robertson Mueller Harper Funeral Home.

Nina Belle Terry was born Dec. 5, 1901, in Gorman, the daughter of W.L. and Cora B. Alexander Terry. She was a graduate of Ryan High School in Ryan, Okla., and received her B.A. from Texas Woman's College and an M.A. from Texas Christian University. She did graduate work at Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania and at the University of California.
A longtime teacher in the Fort Worth ISD, she taught at Polytechnic and R.L. Paschal High Schools. Nina was head of the retailing department at the Job Corps Center in McKinney and taught evening classes at Trimble Tech High School and at Carswell Air Force Base. She was a sponsor of golf and tennis teams, class activities and R.O.T.C. programs.
She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth.
