- Ann Barnett's marriage record lists her as Nancy. Some genealogies show Nancy as a nickname. But I wonder if the marriage would indicate the full name was Nancy Ann. She is referred to in some genealogies as Ann Barnett.

"John Barnett, his wife Nancy, and his father moved to Giles Co. Tn. from Spartanburg, SC. In 1814 he bought land from Aaron Brown to have after the Indian claims were extinguished. He died in 1847 near Mandry's Tunnel on the Nashville and Decatur RR near Aspen Hill."
