Notes

  • James' middle name was probably Heber, like his son William Heber.  Itis also likely that James' father, also James H, was likewise JamesHeber Brindrett.

A Bill of Sale is registered in Independence County, Arkansas, to aJames Brundrett in 1820.  Since our James Brundrett was born in 1816or so, this must be his father.  This is the first record I have foundof James' father's name.

One genealogy adds some helpful details, appearing to be from famliysources, but there are problems.

This genealogy reports James as born in Chorlton Cum Hardy, inLancashire County, England.  This, however, is a different JamesBrundrett.  That James is enumerated still in Chortlon Cum Hardy in1850, while our James Brundrett was already in Arkansas, enumerated in1850 in Christian Township of Independence County.  Further, the CumHardy James was still there for the census of 1881.  Someone hasconfused families or individuals.
