    We are sorry to learn that Rev. M.S. Hamilton one of our oldest andbest known citizens died yesterday at his home at Locust Cottage. Hewill be buried today at 1 p.m. at Moore's Church.

    Rev. M.A. [M S] Hamilton, a well known local preacher, died at hishome near Locust Cottage, Wednesday evening the 15th inst [15 Nov1905].

    He was born in the state of Georgia, Nov. 29th, 1831 falling short ofliving 74 years only 5 days. He moved to Arkansas in 1859 and haslived here since except a few years spent in Howard county, thisstate.

    Brother Hamilton was brought up by pious parents and from his earlyyouth till his death lived a devoted Christian. He was a man ofpositive convictions and lived up to what he believed the Bibletaught.

    He became convinced about the year 62 or 63 that it was his duty topreach the Gospel and from that time till his death it was his joy totell this good news to others. Many can testify how anxious he was toserve his Lord in the best way he could.

    Brother Hamilton leaves one sister, four sons and two daughters whoare bereft, but in their sorrow they believe they shall meet in theabode of the blest.
    The many friends of Brother Hamilton extend to his loved ones theirsincerest sympathy.
